Base

Base have just completed some new work to accompany the new Pantone Plus range. The brand for Pantone must be one of the strongest around, it's so solid and perfect for the company. I really like these 3D installations as I think that they're a great representation of the brand identity in an innovative way, really playing on the angular nature of the window brand.

Eleven Design - Chairs

A history of chairs, really interesting subject and really well communicated through the colour coding. Looks really engaging. The postcards also work really well with the overlayed images.

Ale Paul

Set of invitations from Ale Paul.

Strengths - The form of shapes in the illustrations is really strong, also the use of symbology and icons within. The simple thin line work is really nice at connoting the feeling of an old instructional manual. The type also seems to give that feel, especially reminds me of an old sewing manual or something.

Weaknesses - I think that the muted down colour palette is not really standing out and seems a bit mundane. Also the typeface is really not what I'm interested in.

Great record sleeves with overprinting and they did the form 55 logo aswell

Beautiful Image making, info graphical style to a lot of his work, really nice line work.

Design based in Barcelona, really great pattern work that flows across so many mediums, creates a great identity.

Owen Gildersleeve - Melt Banana

Illustrative Poster for the band Melt Banana, great use of illusion mixed with typography. Hand screen printed with luminous pink.

Owen Gildersleeve - Spinning Tops

Experimental Image making with prints of spinning tops with make making on top made from attaching pens to actual spinning tops, I like the idea of not knowing what the end result is going to be before the piece is finished.

Daren Newman

Beautiful illusion work and typography (some for the KDU). The circular patterns he has running through the typography are great, really decorative.

Tom Rowe

Great selection of illustration, image making and screenprinting. Great technical skills to get the pink machine print lined up so perfectly.

Sarah King

Illustrations for the song "Perfume" by Salk and Samovar, really nice composition and sense of illusion.

Tom Gallo

Brilliant print work, for editorial, CD packaging and poster work, love the combinations of block shape with photography in such simple but effective compositions.
